How much do dating apps cost? Subscription calculator
Add up what you really spend on dating apps: subscriptions that renew every week or month, plus boosts and Super Likes.
Most dating apps are free to download. The costs come later: a subscription that quietly renews every week or month, plus Boosts, Super Likes and Roses bought one at a time. Pick the apps you pay for, check the price you actually see in each one and the calculator adds it all up.

What do your dating apps really cost?
Why the price in your app may differ from ours
The starting prices in the calculator come from the UK App Store listings we checked for our app reviews in October 2026. They are a guide, not a quote. The same app can charge different amounts depending on your age, your country and whether you pay through the App Store, Google Play or the website, and the App Store often lists several prices for one plan without saying how long each one lasts. That is why every price in the calculator can be changed: type in what you see on your own screen.
Weekly plans add up fastest
A year has 52 weeks, so a plan billed every week costs about 4.3 times its weekly price each month. A £19.99 weekly plan works out at roughly £87 a month, or more than £1,000 over a year if it keeps renewing. Longer plans usually cost less per month, but you pay for all of it upfront.
How to spend less on dating apps
- Check what renews. On an iPhone, your subscriptions are listed in Settings under your name. On Android, look in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions. If you paid on the website, cancel in your account settings there.
- Try the free version first. Most apps let you match and message without paying. See our best free dating apps.
- Pay for one app at a time. Two or three overlapping subscriptions are where costs climb.
- Know the new UK rules. Subscription apps will have to send renewal reminders and make cancelling easy. Read our news story on the UK subscription rules for dating apps.
Paying less is not the only reason people cancel. Our report on dating app fatigue looks at why paying users are leaving swipe apps.
